My name is Ibrahim Abdullahi, though most people know me as Vantage the man behind the camera.

My journey into photography began around 2014, not as a grand plan, but as a simple curiosity. I remember the first time I started posting pictures on Instagram I didn't have the best gear, or even a clear direction. All I had was an eye for light, a deep love for nature, and a desire to capture the stillness that lives between moments.

Photography, for me, isn't just about taking pictures; it's about feeling life move. It's about recognising the poetry in everyday scenes sunlight through dust, laughter caught mid-breath, quiet landscapes holding entire histories.

As I grew, so did my work. I began covering weddings, naming ceremonies, and other celebrations, each one teaching me more about people, love, and connection. Through my lens, I've witnessed laughter that speaks louder than words and tears that carry entire stories.

2014

The Beginnings

It all started as a simple hobby while studying at university. I found myself drawn to light, emotion, and moments that often go unnoticed. With every candid shot, I discovered a language beyond words — one that allowed me to tell stories through stillness and sincerity.

2019

First Professional Gig

What began as passion soon became purpose. My first professional experience came when I photographed Wizkid at his concert. That night, behind the lens, I realised that what I loved could become a lifelong pursuit a way to preserve emotion and energy in a single frame.

2020

Vantage Photography

From that realisation, Vantage Photography was born. It became more than just a name it became a vision. I began specialising in portraits, weddings, nature, and commercial photography, dedicating myself fully to mastering the craft.

As my work evolved, it began to speak for itself. My photographs were featured by Vogue Italy and VSCO a moment that validated years of passion, experimentation, and persistence. Proof that authenticity always finds its way to light.
